Our mission
Know Yellowknife makes credible introductory learning about the city easier to discover and more engaging to explore. It combines concise reading with a replayable quiz, drawing on play-based and experiential-learning principles.
Editorial approach
The MVP uses publicly available information from Indigenous organizations and official public bodies. It has not undergone formal community review and does not speak on behalf of the City, Indigenous governments or community organizations. Each learning card and quiz explanation links to its source so readers can continue with authoritative material.
We prioritize an organization’s own website when describing its identity, history and current work. Regional NWT information is labelled separately from Yellowknife-local information. Corrections are welcome through the demonstration contact page.
