We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA and apply Level AAA improvements where practical.

- BCP 47 language metadata so browsers and assistive technologies can identify translated content correctly
Translation
The Translate control opens a Google-generated convenience translation in a new tab for French, Filipino (Tagalog), Punjabi or Inuktut. None of these translations has been reviewed by a fluent speaker, and none is described as official or authoritative. The English content remains the reference version.
The first three choices and the Indigenous-language ordering are informed by the 2021 Census Profile for Yellowknife (opens in a new tab). The Government of the Northwest Territories identifies Inuktitut and Tłı̨chǫ as Yellowknife’s official community Indigenous languages (opens in a new tab) and maintains an Indigenous-language interpreter and translator list (opens in a new tab). Complete Tłı̨chǫ or Dene Kǝdǝ́ editions will not be presented as translations until qualified fluent speakers translate and independently review the site content.
Known limits
Automated checks and keyboard testing cannot reproduce every assistive technology or individual access need. Third-party websites linked from this resource have their own accessibility arrangements.
